My first post and It doesn't have to be perfect......

I had great expectations of my first blog post on this new site being lovely pictures of our new home. Then, as usual, life happened and I have just not had time to work on my site or any posts. So for right now plain jane will have to do.....

However, I could not resist getting in on the Nester's Imperfectly Beautiful Party. I can not tell you all of the ways the Nester has inspired me to do great and perfectly imperfect things in my home. I can't wait to share them all here. My husband even knows her now. I guess, as much as you can know someone over the blogosphere. She is my own personal interior decorator, you know. LOL

Anyway, here goes on the Imperfection.......
Here is my kitchen this morning after a weekend of keeping 4 of my sister's 5 children. I had 4 boys ages 12, 12, 11, and 11 and 3 girls ages 16, 13 and 8. We had a great time of swimming, playing, and eating tons and tons of great food. Although, my house does look like a war zone this morning, it was all worth it!!!

We moved in about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Even though most of the boxes are emptied and it really feels like home, here are some of my imperfections:

This piano sits in my dining room and those are my tons of pictures waiting for a new home. I don't wont to hang pictures until I get the walls painted. Does that make sense?

Here's a pile of clothes sitting beside my hutch. They are winter clothes and the winter clothes box is in the barn. I have no idea where to even start looking for it so I guess they will sit there for a while.

So that's my perfectly imperfection pictures for today. My next post will be pictures of the house and our forever long project list......

If you want to see other's imperfection head over to the Nesting Place.

Blessings,
Trixi

That's not bad for someone that just moved in. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Congrat's on the new home. You have a good excuse to be a little imperfect cause you just moved in but it all looks great to me. I still have pictures that need hanging and I have been in my house for 9 years... You go girl! Susie H

Congrats on the new home and the new blog! Thanks for stopping by!

You, my dear, have every excuse imaginable for having an imperfect house. Just moved and you had 7 kids in your house? Yikes!

I think you're smart to hang pictures before painting--that way you can leave the nail in when you paint and the paint will mostly seal over the ooopsie nail holes.

Congratulations on your new home, it's charming! You have to share the after photos when you get settled in...although I must say it looks pretty great now. We move from the Gulf Coast of MS a year ago and I miss it already. Welcome to blogging, I'm new to it too, but it's lots of fun!

Oh, moving is tough, but how exciting now that you are able to make the space your own. I hope you feel settled into your new space very soon!
