As part of the BooMama before and after challenge, I am slowly but surely working on the transformation of my living room. Here was my weekend project. I decided to spray paint this hideous ceiling fan white. The fan has some beautiful detail but also had high gloss fan blades and was antique brass.
Here is the fan taken apart and painted.
And Wah Lah, here is the fan in place. I can't tell you what a difference a $5.00 can of spray paint made in this room. It really brightened up the room.
Blessings,
Trixi

Thank you Miss Trixie... thank you for your sweet comment. I will be ok.. guess I just have to suck it up and know that this is the world we live in. Awesome ladies like you make me want to keep on bloggin' Your fan looks very nice! Susie H~
I knew I liked you for some reason.. I thought it was cause of your cute name! Nope, your from MiSSISSIPPI. I love that state. I have had a booth in Canton for years. We are on the square across from the gazebo. I hope you get to come this fall. We will def. have to stay in touch. All of my blog sisters will get a good deal, not that I have ever met one at a show. But if I do that would be so great! Now you have me all exicited, smile... I cant wait till Canton. Susie H~
I forgot to ask ... did you take that down from the ceiling yourself? I don't want to kill myself taking lights out, but I'm getting a little tired of waiting for my husband to do it!
I am a happily married (21 yrs.) wife and homeschooling mother of 3 wonderful children. However, my most important role is as a child of God. We live on a small acreage in very rural Mississippi. I mean like 20 minutes to the nearest small town.LOL We live a very simple life of loving God and each other. We hope to eventually become more and more self sufficient. I have to say, right now my life is pretty full and I am loving every minute.
Phil. 4:8
Stay, stay at home, my heart, and rest; Home-keeping hearts are happiest, For those that wander they know not where Are full of trouble and full of care; To stay at home is best. Weary and homesick and distressed, They wander east, they wander west, And are baffled and beaten and blown about By the winds of the wilderness of doubt; To stay at home is best. Then stay at home, my heart, and rest; The bird is safest in its nest; O'er all that flutter their wings and fly A hawk is hovering in the sky; To stay at home is best.

There's nothing better than spray paint (and hot glue). That turned out great! I am really going to have to paint my fan now.
